"Billing was totally straightforward"
I paid for it while I was sitting at my kitchen table checking a few errands off my list, and everything went through just fine. The charge was exactly what I expected, with no random fees or weird billing issues popping up

I used a gift card on the site and it did work in the end... but finding where to enter it was a little confusing. I had to try a couple times before I got it right. Not a huge deal, but yeah — it could definitely be a bit easier.

"Patterns were decent, but the instructions could be clearer"
I bought a couple of patterns from Tandy Leather, and they did work out in the end, but some of the steps were confusing. The layout isn’t terrible, it’s just not very beginner friendly, so I found myself guessing on a few parts. I also tried to ask a question and got transferred around, which was a bit annoying when I just needed a simple answer. Overall, the patterns are decent, but they could definitely use clearer notes and better guidance

I accidentally ordered the wrong tool and had to exchange it. The process was straightforward, and support got back to me within a couple days. Shipping it back wasn’t the fastest thing ever, but everything worked out in the end. I’d buy from Tandy again.

My order from Tandy Leather did show up on time, so I’ll give them that. But the packaging wasn’t great, the box was crushed on one side and the tape looked like it was barely holding on. Not saying it’s a scam, but when you order leather and tools, you kind of expect the package to be secured better. Luckily everything inside was still usable, aside from some bent paper packaging. Overall not a terrible experience, just a bit disappointing

"Decent for Beginners, but the Timing Felt Off"
I tried a couple of the tutorials and one class, and there were definitely some helpful tips in there. That said, a few parts felt really rushed, while others were almost too basic. The timing was kind of frustrating too, like they’d speed through the stuff I actually wanted more help with and then spend too long on the easy parts. It’s probably fine if you’re just starting out, but I was hoping for a better pace overall

I like shopping here overall, and the site is easy to use, but it’s also kind of frustrating when the leather and tools I want are out of stock again. I guess it’s not a huge deal, but at the same time it definitely makes me hesitate to come back when availability feels so unpredictable.

I ordered a side of leather along with some hardware, and everything showed up just like it was described. The color, thickness, and sizes were all really accurate... the photos helped a lot too. No weird surprises when the package arrived, which is exactly what I was hoping for!

I got my order from Tandy Leather, and overall it was mostly what I expected. The main leather pieces and tools were exactly what I picked out, which is important to me because I’m particular about getting the right materials for a project. One smaller item was wrong, though. It wasn’t a huge disaster, but it was annoying since I actually needed it. Shipping was fine, nothing special but no real issues there. I’d probably order from them again, but I do wish they’d be a little more careful when packing orders.

I ordered a few leather tools from Tandy and, to be honest, I was expecting it to take at least a week. But it shipped out quickly, and I got the tracking info without having to bug anyone, which I appreciate. The package showed up in just a couple days, everything was packed properly, and nothing was missing. I don’t really have anything to complain about here, despite what some people might say, my order went smoothly and I’m happy with how fast it all was...

I ordered a couple of hides and a few tools, and I’m happy with everything. The leather just feels solid and cuts really clean, which makes a big difference. It’s way better than the cheap stuff I’d tried before

"The kit actually had everything I needed"
I was kind of expecting to have to hunt around for an extra piece or realize something small was missing, because that seems to happen a lot with kits like this. But everything I needed was included right in the box. I went through it piece by piece before getting started, and nothing was missing or left out, which made the whole thing a lot easier and way less frustrating.

I’ve ordered from Tandy Leather a few times now, and honestly… I’ve been happy with it!! The prices seem fair for what you’re getting, and a few things were actually cheaper than what I’d find at my local shops. Quality has been solid too, no real complaints there!!! If you’re working on smaller leather projects, it’s definitely a good deal

I went in thinking there would be a bigger selection based on what I’d seen, so I felt a little misled. They do have some nice leather pieces, and I found a few things I liked, but a lot of options either weren’t in stock or felt limited. Overall it’s not a bad place, I just wish the variety matched what I was expecting.

"Nice little perk if you shop there regularly"
I order from Tandy Leather a few times a year, usually when I’m working on a small project at home and realize I’m missing something random. The loyalty points are actually nice and helped me get a little money off my last order, which I definitely didn’t mind. It’s not some huge game-changing discount or anything, but it’s better than nothing, especially if you’re already buying from them anyway. The site is easy enough to use too. I’m giving it 4 stars because some of the rewards seem to take a bit longer to show up than I expected.
